It is with a heavy heart that I report that oil and tar have reached Mississippi's Shores...

At this point in time Biloxi Back Bay and the Bay of St. Louis remain open. Our local governments have taken it upon themselves to do what has been ignored by the powers that be, thus far...

PROTECTING the Bays and the marsh that they lead to. My only hope is that it will not be too little too late.

I know it has been a while since I have been on here, our first year has been fast and furious. I am afraid that I have been swept up in the tide.

I am here to tell you that the oil has NOT arrived here on the Mississippi Coast. Inshore fishing is wide open! Fishing is GOOD! The Mississippi Fishing Rodeo is a GO! Independence Day weekend is going to be a weekend of FISHING! The redfish and speckled trout shoot-outs are a GO!

I am extremely happy to be building a rod to be used as a prize at the Rodeo. I will post pictures as I take them.

Speaking of taking pictures...I have tried a couple of different digital cameras and have yet to take a clear photo. I am now switching to a 35mm camera...
